All too often people approach dieting already expecting failure. People try and fail at so many diet that they feel content knowing that they will fail at the next one as well. And guess what? They are right! Mr. Henry Ford once said: "If you think you can or think you can't you will always be right." If you already believe that you will fail at your diet, then you already have, way before you ever even refuse yourself the very first bite. Just think about that for a minute. Only a fool would stay on that endless merry go round without ever stopping and wondering why nothing has worked for you in he past. "Failure is only the opportunity to begin again intelligently." Another profound quote from Mr. Ford. In truth if you do not examine the reasons for your failure then you will repeat them. So why would you even bother trying if you already planned to fail? Only YOU can assume control of your need to eat. Only YOU can notice and pay attention to your reasons for eating. Wether they be for emotional fulfillment or necessity. YOU and ONLY YOU can get yourself up and on your feet. YOU are the only one who can assume responsibility for the condition you find yourself in, outside of a few medical conditions. But even then, if you are continuously trying diet after diet and failing them all you have to realize that it is most likely not the diets that aren't working. Everyone should be accountable for their own successes in life as well as their failures. Dieting is no different. Nothing feels better than for someone to notice and complimet your efforts. Unfortunately if you are severely over weight it may take longer for people to actually notice the weight you have lost. All too often people give up because no one has noticed their efforts and they feel shamed. You should give your efforts a chance to work before you condemn them! You may just surprise yourself! The reality is that not enough people hold themselves accountable to their weight loss and dieting goals. Unfortunately that means that way too many people give up before they give it an honest effort. If you find that you can't hold yourself accountable, then you should consider finding yourself a partner. You may find yourself inspired to set new goals and also to meet and exceed challenges. Not only would you benefit but your partner would too! Everyone should hold themselves accountable to their diet and weight loss goals if they expect to have any sort of success!
